The 47th Annual Mille Lacs Band Traditional Powwow will be held at the Iskigamizigan Powwow Grounds near Onamia, MN. Free camping, campfire wood, and showers available. Security and medical staff will be at the event. For more info, call Carla Big Bear at 320-532-7517.

Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Wacipi

Contest powwow. Grand Entries: Friday at 7 pm, Saturday at 1 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday at 1 pm. Host drum: Mazakute, and Wahpekute. Invited drums only.  MCs: Wallace Coffey and Danny Seaboy. ADs: Rusty Gillette, and Jauquin Hamilton-Youngbird. Dancer registration: Friday at 12:30, must have button to register. Point system begins Friday at grand entry. Registration closes Saturday at 12:30 pm. Fireworks on Saturday at 10:00 pm. Admission: $5 for entire weekend, includes free meal. 60 years and older are free, 10 years and under are free.
