This was a great article including the quotes from the young women who told of their "elders" reactions to them. Let's not be naive and think that the "elders" know nothing about rape, incest, molestation, forced prostitution, and traffiking of Native Women. As stated in the article, this kind of violence agaist Native women has been going on since the arrival of the colonists. Even Pocohontas was a victim of kidnap and rape by the colonists, according the oral stories of her own people. We need more reports of this, so more Native women will speak up and help stop this trauma against us.
