1. Other abuse in Catholic facilities
This is not just a Native American problem. My grandfather stayed at Father Baker's children's home in Buffalo New York. He told my mother that he left the Catholic Church because of the physical abuse: being forced to kneel on beans while holding his arms out. I was disgusted when I read that the Church is in the process of declaring Fr. Baker a saint. Grandpa then passed on the beatings to my brother (beating a 3 year old with a leather strap) Thank goodness people are bring this out before the memories are gone. I don't know about sexual abuse, but I have suspicions.
