Lawrence “Larry” Adams, 81, of Cass Lake, MN, died July 12 at the Cass Lake PHS Indian Hospital in Cass  Lake, MN.  Lawrence’s passing was with ease, due to the love and care of his daughter MaryAnn, and Nurses Becky Hazeldine RN, and Chrissy Johnson CNA.He was born on June 6, 1928, in Pine  Point, MN the son of Charles and Mary (Coleman) Adams. He attended school at Pine Point, in Ponsford, MN. He was drafted into the US Army in 1951, and served in the Korean War, he was honorably discharged in 1953. He married Georgianna Chesley and together they had two daughters.

He played the accordion in a band with his parents and brothers. He enjoyed attending pow-wows, where he was a dancer, and made his own regalia. He liked going to the Palace in Cass Lake. He loved making quilts, doing bead work, and going wild ricing. He lived with his special friend Rose Bunker for many years, and helped raise her children, and grandchildren as his own.

Funeral Services were held July 17 at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN with Rev. Harold Eaglebull and Rev. John Rock officiating. A wake was held on July 16 at the Veteran’s Memorial Building. Interment was at the Prince of Peace Cemetery in Cass Lake, MN. He is survived by: Daughters, MaryAnn Columbus, Laura Wind; Step-Children, Marvin (Donna) Bunker, Marlys Bunker, Russell (Georgina) Bunker, Virginia Bunker; Nieces, Betty (Jim) Armstrong, Patricia Masten, Sharon James, Irene Sherman; Nephew, Donald (Jill) Masten; Grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, special friend Rose, brothers Joseph, George, John, sister Frances Masten, nephews Harold “Snow” Adams, Michael Masten, Gerald Masten, and brother-in-law William “Bud” James.
