James Anderson, (Choctaw/Ojibwe) son of “Famous” Dave Anderson, has been named one of The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development’s “Native American 40 under 40” award. Anderson is one of the founders of Life skills for Leadership Training in the Twin Cities. The honorees represent existing and emerging Indian leaders nominated and selected based on their demonstration of leadership, initiative and dedication in promoting Native businesses and communities. The 2009 winners include attorneys, entrepreneurs, tribal leaders and academics. Some of the others chosen include: Brandon Yellowbird Stevens, Oneida Nation of Wisconsin; Richard Tallbear, Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate; Sahar Nouri, MD, Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa; and Stacey Thunder, Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians.
