What if . . .

. . . the Super Bowl featured the Washington Redskins against whomever instead of the 49ers and the Ravens? What isn't clear to me is why our country would (rightfully) stand in opposition to a football team called the Washington Niggers, but stands idly by while Native Americans are subjected to nationally sanctioned racism? Why is it that the Saint Louis Crackers or the Dallas Shitkickers would NEVER be allowed to exist, but no one pays mind to a term derogatory to Native Americans? Are we such an ignored culture that we're invisible to those who care?
