Autumn Rose Jones, age 24 of the Lower Sioux Community journeyed to the Spirit World Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV. Services were held April 14 at the Lower Sioux Community Center. Visitation was on Wednesday at the Lower Sioux Community Center. Interment is in St. Cornelia's Episcopal Cemetery. Autumn Rose Jones was born December 11, 1986 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to Vernon Jones Sr. and Melissa (Columbus) Chee. She attended school in Woodbury, Burnsville, and Redwood Falls. Autumn enjoyed horseback riding, including competition barrel racing; trapping and skinning gophers, camping, and fishing. She was a Fancy Shawl Dancer, and loved dancing at Powwows. Autumn had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and riding around listening to music.
Autumn is survived by her mother Melissa & Christopher Chee of the Lower Sioux; father Vernon "Bush" Jones Sr. of Red Lake; siblings: Vernon Jones Jr., Brandon Jones, Felicia Jones, April Jones, Travis Jones, Alexa Jones, Monique Chee, and Kristy Chee; nieces and nephews: Shania Jones, Camron Jones, Dante Garcia, Tiara Thompson, Audrina Jones, and Jazzmin Tsosi; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by Joe Briseno, grandparents: Tom & Iola Columbus, and Kenneth Jones and Lillian Kingbird Jones, and cousins: Salina Eller, Monique Wilson, and Chad Gruendemann.
