41st Annual United Tribes International Powwow
Bismarck, N.D. United Tribes Technical College, is a nonprofit organization privately owned by the recognized Indian Nations of North Dakota. One of the premier cultural events of North Dakota, receiving numerous awards over the years. Representing over 70 tribes, featuring over 1500 dancers and drummers, and drawing over 20,000 spectators the Powwow has become a must-see event! CEL Educational Powwow
Drum split, money for children 17 and under in Regalia. Contest 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. 18+ for Womens, Traditional, Jingle, Fancy Shawl, Mens Traditional, Grass, and Chicken. The Educational Powwow, hosted by Como Early Learning center will take place on September 10. Registration at 4:00 pm, Grand Entry at 5 pm, at the field near the corner of East Hennepin Ave and 29th Ave SE Minneapolis, MN.

Indian Summer
IThis year, Indian Summer Festival will honor Veterans, enlisted military personnel and first responders. Activities include a Veteran's Parade, the Wall of Honor exhibit, a Traditional Powwow and fireworks display Friday and Saturday nights, with a special program on the night of 9/11. VETERAN'S PARADE: Saturday, 3:00 pm on the Festival grounds — complete with military vehicles, veterans, troops and bands, as well as color guards, VFW Posts and representation from Indian Nations from all around the country PLUS A MILITARY FLYOVER! All Veterans, enlisted military personnel and first responders welcome in the Parade. All Veterans, active military personnel and first responders will be admitted FREE to Indian Summer Festival all weekend with ID. Indian Summer includes: powwow, cultural exhibits, live music, arts exhibits, and demos and workshops. Indian Summer Festival Hours. SEPT.10: Area Schools – Education Day – 9:00am to 2:30 pm. General Public: 4:00 pm – Midnight. SEPT. 11: Noon – Midnight. SEPT. 12: Prayer Ceremony – 10:00 am, Mid Gate Open from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.
