Aug. 16-18 Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Wacipi Contest powwow. Grand Entries: Friday at 7 pm, Saturday at 1 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday at 1 pm. Host drum: Mazakute, and Wahpekute. Invited drums only. MCs: Wallace Coffey and Danny Seaboy. ADs: Rusty Gillette, and Jauquin Hamilton-Youngbird. Dancer registration: Friday at 12:30, must have button to register. Point system begins Friday at grand entry. Registration closes Saturday at 12:30 pm. Fireworks on Saturday at 10:00 pm.
