International Powwow
Lone Star Arena, United Tribes Technical College, Bismarck, N.D. The 43rd Annual contest powwow has become one of the premier cultural events of North Dakota. Representing over 70 tribes, featuring over 1500 dancers and drummers, and drawing over 20,000 spectators. GRAND ENTRIES: Thursday, 7 pm; Friday, 1 pm and 7 pm; Saturday, 2 pm and 7 pm; Sunday, 11 am. ADULT CATEGORIES: Senior Mens and Womens Traditonal (Ages 50 & Over); Mens and Womens Traditional, Fancy, Grass/Jingle (Ages 18 to 49); Mens Chicken Dance; Team Dancing (Ages 18 +). Teen Categories (Ages 13 to 17): Mens and Women’s Traditional, Fancy, Grass/Jingle. JUNIOR CATEGORIES (Ages 6 to 12): Junior Boys and Girls Traditional, Fancy, Grass/Jingle.
